The Bank closed out 2018 with $580 million in assets, $494 million in loans and $463 million in deposits, all new records driven by organic growth with a growing customer base. O’Brien stated “we attribute the Bank’s last 4 years of substantial growth to putting the right team together, by hiring the best people, in both the front and back offices, and giving them the best products and the right technology to support great customer service.”
O’Brien shared there are various events planned throughout the year to celebrate the Bank’s historic milestone of 150 years of serving the Berkshires. These ways include celebrating ACB customers with various sweepstakes and giveaways; giving back to the community by increasing charitable giving to schools, sponsoring pop-up giveaways, and increasing volunteer projects using bank staff. The Bank also made a celebratory video, which can be found on their website.
Long-time Board trustee, Dick Jette, retired from the Board after 19 years of instrumental input;
Dick will continue to be involved with the Bank as a Corporator. O’Brien thanked Jette for his dedication to the Bank’s Board, and his invaluable feedback during his term. William “Smitty” Pignatelli will fill the newly vacant seat on the Board. O’Brien noted that Pignatelli will be a great asset in helping guide the bank in 2019 and beyond. Five new people were added to the Bank’s list of Corporators, Osmin Alvarez, Jonathan Butler, Sheri Quinn, William Young and Brian Choquette. With the addition of Brian, four generations of the Choquette family have now served as Bank Corporators.
