Adams Community Bank Holds 2025 Annual Meeting

ADAMS, MA – April 14, 2026 – The annual meeting of the Community Bancorp of the Berkshires, MHC, the parent company of Adams Community Bank, was held on April 8, 2026, at Charles H. McCann Technical School in North Adams. The meeting included a review of the Bank’s strong 2025 financial results, retirement milestones, and the recently announced strategic merger between Adams Community Bank and Pittsfield Cooperative Bank, which reinforces the Bank’s long-term commitment to Berkshire County.

The Bank extended its sincere thanks to retiring board member Rick Dunn for 23 years of dedicated service. The Bank also recognized the retirements of employees Jackie Zieba, Patty Carpenter, and Tim Burdick, who together have 99 years of service, each having started their careers as tellers—reflecting a strong culture of growth and commitment.

Since 2022, assets have grown by $100 million. In 2025, the Bank refined its strategy to maintain just over $1 billion to support sustainable growth and improve capital ratios. By focusing on deposit-driven growth and reducing reliance on higher-cost borrowing, the Bank achieved strong results, with holding company net income in 2025 nearly three times that of 2024.

Adams Community Bank and Pittsfield Cooperative Bank have entered into a strategic merger, unanimously approved by both Boards, with the new headquarters at 99 West Street in Pittsfield. The combined institution will remain a locally focused community bank with approximately $1.5 billion in assets and nearly 200 employees, with no staff reductions anticipated.

“I am proud of our entire ACB team for their hard work and focus, which have driven our strong financial performance,” stated Julie Fallon Hughes, President & CEO of Adams Community Bank. “This merger is an exciting next step that builds on that success, allowing us to expand our impact while continuing to serve our communities with the same local commitment.”
