Important Scam Awareness Alert

Adams Community Bank wants to make you aware that the banking industry is seeing an increase in phone calls and text messages that are scams.

Fraudsters are:

  • Calling to verify transaction information (i.e. wire transfer, confirm a check written)
  • Sending a text message containing a link to click, then asking for your online banking login information
  • Leaving a voicemail with a call-back number (Do not call). When the customer returns the call, the fraudster answers the phone pretending to be Adams Community Bank or another local bank.

Please remember:

  • We will never call you and ask for your account number, online banking username, or password.
  • We will never ask for your debit card PIN or secure token number.
  • We will never ask you to provide sensitive information through an unsolicited phone call, text, or email.

If you receive a text message with a link from an unknown number, or regarding a transaction you did not request, do not click the link.

If you are ever unsure whether a call or message is legitimate:

  1. Hang up immediately or do not respond.
  2. Call our main local number listed on our official website.
  3. Speak directly with one of our team members.

Thank you for helping us keep your accounts safe.
