12/5/2022 – Adams Community Bank Expands into Pittsfield, MA

PITTSFIELD, MA – December 5, 2022 – Adams Community Bank’s parent company, Community Bancorp of the Berkshires, MHC, announces the Bank’s expansion into Pittsfield with its new branch opening at 660 Merrill Road.
An evening open house and ribbon cutting took place on Thursday, December 1st, with the new branch opening for business on Monday, December 5th.

Charles P. O’Brien, ACB President, stated that opening a branch in Pittsfield is a culmination of 18 months of dedicated effort by the entire ACB team and implementation of the Bank’s strategic plan. “Our focus was on finding the right location and team to open a full-service branch in Pittsfield. This location perfectly positions us, as we see an increase in demand for our banking services from individuals and businesses in this area. It is an added benefit to have the leadership and expertise of a talented branch team that maintains strong ties to the local community.”

Branch Officer, Julie Zdon, leads the new location with her 17 years of banking experience. She is supported by a four-person team of experienced Community Bankers, including Ava Joy, José Aguilar Lopez, Alexa Durant, and Nicole Superneau. ACB’s Business Development Officer Jay Ogle will be based in our Pittsfield Branch.

In addition to the new branch location, ACB introduced a new way to bank with Interactive Teller Machines (ITM) called Customer Connect. Customer Connect offers a 2-way video conference between the user and a live Customer Connect Specialist. This technology allows customers to make loan payments, deposits, cash checks, complete credit card payments, redeem Coin Machine receipts, and more.

O’Brien continued, “The bank’s overall goals remain unchanged. ACB will continue to serve the people and businesses in Berkshire County, take great care of its customers and communities, offer the best technology, and have a branch network that makes it easy for customers to do business with the bank.”

The Pittsfield Branch will be open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Fridays from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturdays from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. In addition, Customer Connect Services are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
