Adams Community Bank Holds 2024 Annual Meeting
ADAMS, MA – April 11, 2025 – The annual meeting of the Community Bancorp of the Berkshires, MHC, the parent company of Adams Community Bank, was held on April 9, 2025, at Charles H. McCann Technical School in North Adams. The meeting included reviewing the Bank’s 2024 financial statements, a recap of the executive search process, and the Bank’s continued investment in people and the community.
Board chair Jeffrey Grandchamp marked a pivotal milestone in the Bank’s leadership by introducing Julie Fallon Hughes, the Bank’s first female President and CEO. Julie succeeds Charlie O’Brien, who retired after 27 years of service. Jeff noted that Julie’s experience and forward-thinking approach align well with the Bank’s values and strategic strategy.
Julie expressed her excitement and gratitude for being selected to lead the Bank, which has a solid foundation of a talented team and loyal customers. She attributed the board’s skillful guidance and the senior leadership’s strength to the fact that the Bank has remained a steady and trusted presence in a year that has challenged many financial institutions. “I continue to be impressed with the Bank’s ongoing commitment to its communities and the employee’s community involvement.” Citing the various events and impressive volunteer hours logged by employees in the past year. “As a Bank, we don’t just operate in the communities we serve—we’re part of them.” She concluded, “We are confident in the Bank’s strength and are positioning ourselves for long-term success, ensuring that we continue to deliver and meet the needs of those we serve.”
