E-ZPass Notice Scam

Adams Community Bank has received the following information regarding an E-ZPass scam:

There is an email scam claiming to be from E-ZPass entitled “E-ZPass Notice to Appear”, stating you have ignored previous bills and not paid a toll. They want you to open the attached invoice or else you need to appear. Opening the invoice may infect your workstation with malware, so please delete the email immediately.

E-ZPass will never send an email or contact you requesting sensitive personal information such as credit card number, social security, user names, passwords, etc. If you are contacted by anyone via email or telephone stating they are from E-ZPass and seeking personal information, please contact your local E-ZPass Customer Service Center.
